The hospital made an offer:
2% Across the board

Example: $.50 per hour more for nurses who have been at Pacifica 5 years, $.60 per hour for six years of longevity, $.70 per hour for seven years , etc., with NO CAP on longevity. If you have been at Pacifica for 30 years you would receive the 2% ATB plus $3.00/hour longevity pay.

Open the contract in 2008 to renegotiate wages and economics

Retro pay is included

The hospital to explore lower cost health plans for the members. If they find something comparable, they will present their findings and seek union approval, as per CBA article XX,
section 1.

The hospital proposed a moratorium on step/anniversary increases until we revisit the contract in 2008, 8 months from now.
The bargaining team recommends:
Vote your conscience

A one year contract is beneficial for the bargaining unit, especially in the
current, volatile environment
