Printed Contracts to be Distributed Sept 14

Our printed Union contracts have arrived and our Union Representative will distribute them to members in the cafeteria on Thursday, Sept. 14.

RNs Gain Wage Scale, Up to 18% Pay Raise Over 4 Years

Our Union and management have agreed on a wage grid that details how much an RN will earn based on his/her years of experience as an RN, and set yearly raises of 3 percent for all RNs and an additional 1 percent per year for RNs whose wages remain below the appropriate hourly rate on the wage grid.

Live Scan Fingerprinting at HPMC April 5

SEIU Local 121RN and Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center want to make it easier for RNs to resubmit their fingerprints to the BRN in order to renew their license and are bringing Live Scan to HPMC on April 5. The California Board of Registered Nursing recently announced that RNs who originally submitted fingerprints on a hard Card or through Live Scan prior to June 8, 2008 MUST RESUBMIT fingerprints in order to renew their license.

Union Team Negotiating Wage Scale

Our Union Bargaining Team has met with management several times regarding a wage scale for Registered Nurses. The CNO resigned and we are waiting until the new CNO is hired and/or announced.

Majority of Members Say YES to New Contract!

The vast majority of Registered Nurses and Service & Technical workers who voted over two days Dec. 6-7 approved our new Union contract with Hollywood Presbyterian management.

Members Now Must Vote to Accept Management’s Offer or Strike

On Wednesday, Nov. 30, Hollywood Presbyterian management gave our Bargaining Team their Last, Best and Final Offer. We now have a choice: Vote to accept this offer or allow our bargaining team to call for a 5-DAY STRIKE.

Union Team Brings Full Set of Proposals to First Bargaining Sessions with Management

Our SEIU 121RN & UHW Bargaining Team representing Registered Nurses and Service & Technical Workers at Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital were productive during the first two days of negotiations, giving management all of our Union team’s non-economic and economic proposals.

We’re Ready to Bargain!

Our SEIU 121RN and UHW Union Bargaining Team has met several times to plan which contract proposals to give to management during negotiations that begin August 30 & 31. Our team hopes to improve staffing language and benefits, and add a wage scale, among other things.

Our current contract expires at the end of this year, and we need a strong Bargaining Team to represent RNs so that we are ready for negotiations. Anyone interested in joining our Bargaining Team should submit a nomination petition by April 22, 2016.
