Staffing Problems Persist

The hospital regularly fails to staff units to their own staffing plan as required by law. Charge RNs carry their own patient load. A patient in ICCU recently had to wait until morning to receive a CT scan that was ordered because there were no RNs available to take the patient to the scanner. Our Union has filed a staffing complaint with the DPHS.

Call-Off Order & Traveler / Registry Use

Our Union contract with management contains language that specifies that cancellations be made first using the categories listed below, and then by rotation.
