Job Announcement: Chief Negotiator
The Chief Negotiator is responsible for assisting with the implementation of a collective bargaining program that focuses on member participation in contract and worksite issue campaigns. The Chief Negotiator also assists with coordination of the overall collective bargaining process involving notifications to members, employers and other staff in order to have active participation throughout negotiations – including preparing for actions such as workplace delegations, pickets and other field campaigns.
Job Announcement: Representative/ Internal Organizer
The Representative/ Internal Organizer is responsible for development of worksite leaders, enforcement of the collective bargaining agreement, responding to questions about the contract and developing internal structures that support field organizing campaigns, contract campaigns and political and community campaigns. The Representative/Internal Organizer also files grievances and does preparation for arbitration to enforce our members’ contract rights. In addition, this position prepares for negotiations through working with the membership, disseminating bargaining surveys and working with the bargaining committee and Chief Negotiator. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, as well as the ability to work in a team environment.
